melancholic is the right word

Today must have been one of the most unlucky days in my life. I was preparing to go to his place for a scheduled mahjong session at 1pm. I woke up at around 11am and it started pouring. It sort of dampened the enthusiasm to play mahjong because the thought of having to travel all the way to Hougang when it was raining seemed like a dreadful idea. Nevertheless, the bad weather element did not stop me from going. Hehe, obviously an addict like me will never cancel a mahjong session because of the weather. I bet nobody will ever believe that mahjong queen, Wendy, will cancel mahjong sessions because of rain. In fact, I've never cancelled any mahjong sessions once at all. LOL.

Somehow, I just got the feeling that I'd lose in the mahjong session today. Why? Because I just felt the bad signs. I could not sleep well last night because I was feeling moody. I was sleeping in snatches. I woke up every now and then. Never play mahjong when you do not have enough sleep. You'd get dazed easily and slowly, your mind will drift away to somewhere during the game. You end up not thinking logically and eventually, you throw tiles that other players want and they GAME! That happened so many times to me today! I was pretty fed-up with myself. Grr.

Anyway, it's just a game. But I've come to realise that there are some 'golden rules' for playing mahjong.

1) Never play mahjong when you do not have enough sleep
2) Never play mahjong when you are melancholic (because it'll invite you bad tiles and they make you melancholic even more)
3) Try not to play mahjong with newbies (they usually have beginners' luck)

I haven't been feeling myself lately. I seem to be losing track of what I want to do in my life anymore. I have no idea what is the next step I should take in my life since I'm no longer studying anymore. Yes, I know that the next step is to find a job and settle down. According to my sister, she mentioned that the job market is relatively quiet. I do agree with her. There are not many banking/financial job ads online. I should go to the recruitment agencies for help? To be honest, I am pretty reluctant about going to recruitment agencies because they seem unreliable. I've been home the past few days and I really can't seem to stand the boring and aimless life I am leading now. It makes me feel useless and stupid. When I meet up with friends, I am refraining myself from talking about job/employment-related stuff. I feel so left-out simply because I have nothing to exchange on the topic.

I slept alone in the bedroom last night. I miss having my brother around in the room and I am not very used to sleeping alone at nights. My mom told me that he called home today and he said he missed home. Guess he really must have felt pretty lonely there too. Can't wait for the 20th to arrive. He'll then be home for the weekend. I planned to bring him to go have some good food before he returns back to Tekong again. Tonight, I am here in the bedroom, alone again. I hope it is not going to be another sleepless night like yesterday. Don't worry about me, readers. I will try to cheer up. No guarantee.

Anyway, you guys must have noticed the change in the background of my blog! Hehe, I'd like to thank that 好心的大叔!You know who you are. *giggles. Okay LAH, you're not uncle.
