A Mistake Too Late for Regrets?
Lately, I've been wondering to myself whether I've made a mistake by continuing to pursue my interest in Finance since I entered SMU. I've done Banking & Financial Services course in Ngee Ann Polytechnic for 3 years and went on to major in Finance in the university. I did not regret studying Finance all the way but right now, I am regretting a bit for the fact that it is the industry that is most difficult to find a job in. And yeah, I am starting it again. What is it? Looking for the right job.
I do not really wish to talk about finding jobs because I am getting a bit sick of it. The worst is, it is only the beginning. I've heard tales about people waiting for 6 - 12 months before they get a job they want to do. I cannot imagine waiting for so long. The alternative to while away the long wait is to find a temporary job. That'll be my intention if the right one does not come knocking on my door soon.
Everyone's been asking me to enjoy the holidays as much as possible for I will never get one as long as this anymore. I agree, but somehow I am not accustomed to bumming around and doing nothing. Hehe, and now, I am bumming alone because he has gotten himself an internship already! At least he has something to do. At least we are sure that he has nil chance of going bersek like I do. Aye, the topic of job-hunting depressed me uncontrollably. Hehe, let's not get too emotional here!
I'll try to cheer up as much as possible. Hopefully he'll contribute to Wendy's Shopping Fund (WSF) when he collects his internship pay! Hehe. I think his face will get cramps when he reads this, LOL. Anyway, I am really happy that an internship opportunity knocked on his door and he was able to grab hold of it well. I'm so proud of you, love. Bring me to dim sum buffet okay? And to the readers out there, you must be wondering what happen to the need I expressed for going on a diet in the previous entry? Hehe, okay, I admit. The ill-discplined bugs bit me, once again. I thought I've gotten rid of them, apparently not! I'd like to beg, borrow, steal the best 'pesticide' to kill these bugs!
These bugs are harmful and it added on to my lazyness. With that, it triggered a lot of nagging from my mom recently. She nagged me to tidy up the study area and arrange the clothes mess in the wardrobe non-stop. She is really something. Believe it. How many times haven you given in because you cannot stand your mom's ceaseless nags? For me, EVERYTIME! I just cannot stand someone breathing down my neck all the time. It's really annoying and it gets to me badly especially when I am in a foul mood.
In such situations, the last thing you'd want on your mind is 'noise'. I doubt that I'll ever understand why mothers are long-winded and naggy. From sweet little things, they changed and reached such an undesirable stage. Yikes, I cannot picture a long-winded and naggy side of me now. If I hate to be nagged at now, why would I do this to my children in the future? Or naggy mothers used to children who loved to be nagged at by their mothers? LOL. Beats me.
