A Straight Shot

I was just feeling a little turned off because of the lack of subtlety somebody has in his/her speech earlier on. I just can't seem to understand what was wrong with the person. I was a bit exasperated by the comments made on me. It was nothing serious but it just did not come across to be that good. Maybe it pricked me badly. Sometimes, when you think you are just making a casual comment, but the receiving party may take it too seriously and get angry. Come to think of it, the party might have meant it as a casual comment and I took it badly? Still, it's about time everyone should start putting yourself in the shoes of others before you jeopardise the relationships you have with others. I hope that the relevant party will try to take some responsibility in his/her words in future. Otherwise, he/she will just end up incurring people's wrath unknowingly.

The dinner at Long Beach Restaurant (East Coast Park) I had with my family was a sumptuous one. It was sort of a farewell dinner for my brother who will be officially serving his BMT tomorrow. Dinner was enjoyable and everyo
ne was happy. I've always loved to dine out with my family. It is a good time to gather with your family members and update one another on what's happening in school or at work. We crack jokes about one another and fill the dining atmosphere with hearty laughters. Because eating out is pretty expensive relative to having takeaways, my family does not do it so often anymore. Since my mother started working, we've switched to having takeaways more often since she isn't home to cook most of time. For this reason, I grew to be envious of my friends who have mothers to cook at home for them.

I miss having home-cooked food! Hehe, this is probably why guys who know how to cook have a good advantage over others in my eyes. Work hard, love. LOL. I am rooting for you. Oh well, maybe I should count myself lucky that he doesn't expect me to be able to cook and everyone knows that I can't cook for nuts! Actually I prefer to make desserts as compared to preparing the dishes for a proper meal.

Baking is also fun - cheesecakes, muff
ins, cookies, brownies. I've tried to bake cheesecakes, muffins and brownies. I will be baking cookies this Friday or Saturday. I am thinking of baking on Saturday morning so that I can bring some over to the mahjong session for Angus and Yeelian to try out too. Hehe, they will be my guinea pigs! If there is anything wrong with the cookies, they will be distracted to play mahjong. Or even better, hit the 'wrong' tile and let them hear me say : 胡了!
LOL. All of their faces will get cramps; including my boyfriend's. Hehe. Oops, can't believe I am actually spelling out my evil plot here
. Speaking of food, I have yet to upload a picture of the 萝卜汤 which he used to 骗我! 哈哈。
I'm still a beginner in blogger; I've yet to find out how to upload pictures, songs or change the background theme of the blog. And somebody is supposed to help me with it okays?! (you know who you are; 意思浅浅)

Let me try to upload a picture of the final product - 萝卜汤

Hehe, I am so proud of myself; finally uploaded the picture! So what do you all think of it? Does it look good? I think it looked pretty good here. The taste was fantastic LAH. For more details on the preparation process, please check out the pictures posted on Facebook under photo album title : 阿 Bing 下橱

FYI, I know that I am courting death for generating publicity on this. 饶命 okay? Hehe.
