weekend sweets

I finally managed to catch the 2nd espisode of "Incredible Tales" tonight! Yay! I was out today but luckily I got home in time. The episode today was about Bloody Mary. A group of university students rented an apartment and had a room each. One of the girls, Pamela, had a room with a mirror in it. An old vintage-looking kind of mirror. It's kinda scary. For those who are unsure of Bloody Mary:

Here it is from Wikipedia:

In contemporary Western folklore, Bloody Mary is a ghost or witch said to appear in a mirror when her name is called three times.

Pamela did not believe about the folklore about Bloody Mary and hence she tried calling "Bloody Mary" in front of the mirror thrice. She was haunted by her since then. Oh well, I better stop the story. It's sending some chill down my spine and it's late at night now. LOL. So much for being a fan of horror genre shows.

Anyway, I had a pleasant weekend since Friday night though. I attended his mother's birthday celebration on Friday night. This marked the second family function of his I attended. To be honest, I felt like a fish out of the water. I couldn't mingle around much. All I did was to sit and walk around with him; talked a little bit to his family members. I gotta admit that even though I was a bit bored; there was something about the family function which really struck me.

It was the family warmth.

I have to say that, I am envious that the paternal and maternal side of the families seem close and they are comfortable with one another. I would think that such situation is quite rare and can only be witnessed in the TV dramas or movies. He is so lucky!
And of course, the usual mahjong session was held on Saturday. Since Yeelian was not free, Sin Chuen was the replacement. Haha, legend had it that Angus Chua Ee Tark has never won in mahjong with Sin Chuen around. Now, we've reached the conclusion that the legend isn't true. Angus managed to 'break the curse' with some winnings.

LOSERS? myself and Mr Wu. I've been on a losing streak since the mahjong session on Thursday with Lilian, Caleb and Chiying. Though I lost, I still do enjoy playing mahjong. I think my mahjong luck is bleak recently. Maybe it's time I should take a break? As much as I love to play mahjong, I guess I will be doing myself some service if I take a break perhaps. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.

The wire of my laptop adapter snapped a few days ago! It was terrible. I was using the laptop and the screen blacked out out of the blue. Shortly, I heard some sizzling sound from the adapter and saw some sparks of electricity! It turned out that there was a hole in the wiring. I was petrified! Fortunately, my father, a skilful electrician, repaired the wire and now it is working fine! LOL. It is really nice to have someone like my father around in the home. They always come in handy, don't they?

I spent a delightful day with him today as well apart from Friday and Saturday. I really appreciate the chance I had to spend private time with him; even though we just bummed around. LOL. Thanks for helping me with the download, Mr Wu. I know you did it for me so that I'll not feel bored without you around.

As some readers may be curious to know what happened to the story of the haughty lil princess and her love, I am going to carry on telling now.

As mentioned in the previous entry, she planned to torture him till he realises his mistake. She has started and is doing so well. Despite everything, the pain is still there even though she acts as though things are back to normal.

The haughty lil princess may have noticed the change; but I believe she needs more time.

Time heals everything.
