my first day of work
It was my first day of work at Barclays yesterday. Well, I was right. My worries were groundless. The people were nice and I even got to meet some people who already heard of me before I've even met them. They know me as "Jeannie's sister". Lol. I guess my sister must have alot of friends in there. There was this girl who jumped up to me and said, "Hello Jeannie's sister, you know who I am? " And I was like "Hi, haha, I don't really know who you are". It turned out that this girl happens to be in my team also and she is the girlfriend of my sis's friend. How far fetched right? My line manager brought me to meet the Director of Operations. The ang moh director asked if he had seen me somewhere before. I was dumbfounded. I just told him that I was new and I haven't met him before. The line manager told him that I was Jeannie's sister. He met my sister a few times and he said " Oh no wonder, I find you very familiar. You resemble Jeannie". I
Well it always appears that time passes especially slowly on the first day of work. Don't you think so? It is not an exception for me. I am glad that it's gonna be Friday tomorrow. I used to update the blog in the wee hours of morning. I guess it'll be different from today onwards. If there are any updates to this blog, it'll be done in the afternoon instead. I will be free (like now) and waiting to go work.
I really had to thank Mr Wu for staying up to wait for me to knock off from work on my first day yesterday. It's really nice to know that someone is waiting for you to get off from work. Though I can't see him, it seems that there is something for me to look forward to. I look forward to calling him after work just to hear from him. I do feel bad that he has to stay up so late for me since he has to work the next day.
Guess it's gonna be hard on you for the coming month, baby.
