an urge to gorge
I should be sleeping now; but I am famished. Well, it happens so often to me that I just have the urge to gorge when I am hungry.
On the T0-Gorge List:
- Punggol Nasi Lemak
- Fried Oyster
- Fried Hokkien Mee
- Chocolate Fondue
- Sushi
- My all-time favourite 酸辣汤
- Cheesecakes/muffins/brownies
And...my god. The list goes on. If I had continued on with the list, you people may think there is something wrong with me. Anyway, these food are so fattening. I can only think about them.
Anyway, I was not happy yesterday. We were supposed to meet yesterday but he stood me up in the end. I was already feeling pretty disappointed. What made it worse was; I thought he'd at least call me up in the noon - a call to check how I was doing and such. I mean, I thought he'd call and apologise. In the end, I didn't hear from him the whole day. I am not angry or upset with him over the fact that he had to spend the time with his family instead. Just that, he failed to meet my expectations. Or rather, I should question myself if a call from him was too much to expect.
Of course, we can meet on the weekdays. But things are different. I have work and he has school along with his part-time job. Even if we meet, I doubt we can spend much time together. And that just reminds me that weekends are the only time we can spend together with any work constraints. Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my end.
I wish I can gorge now; eat away the unhappiness I have at work and in life. As far as work is concerned, I've been thinking if I've made the right decision to reject Sharon's offer to convert me to perm under Confirmations team. Well, amidst the advice against the offer, I rejected it. I'm still looking around. I doubt confirmations is something that I'll want to do for long. I'd like to move on to a team which I'd get to learn more from. Tales I heard about people around me definitely put me on guard against anyone in the office. Anyway, work is work. I don't want to talk about it anymore. I admit that I do not mind working but I start to miss school already. The new school term at SMU will start tomorrow. I could well be sitting in for seminars tomorrow instead of facing a huge junk of information in the office and worst of all, they may not make any sense to me.
I guess after rejecting Sharon's offer, I may not be her priority should there be any chances of conversion to perm again. Am I digging my own grave? On the other hand, if I had taken up the conversion offer, I will probably be speeding up the process of digging my own grave. Either way has its cons. Hopefully I'll be able to find opportunities elsewhere - be it in or out of barcap. It'd be good if I can start somewhere else.
Anyway, work is work. I will put a full-stop here on it. More of it will give me nightmares again. I am just looking forward to end of August and then my pay check will come in soon. Yay!
Grr, my lip balm stick just broke yesterday. I broke it accidentally when I was cleaning it. I really need a lip balm because my lips often get so dry that they will crack. I bet the condition will worsen with the strong air-conditioning system in the office. Well, I think Nivea lip balm isn't that fantastic. I heard that Kiehl's lip balm is recommended. I'm sure that this piece of information is FYA (For your action) , Mr Wu.
Oh and just to remind you, I want cranberry flavour. LOL.
I can't wait for the coming weekend to be here again. LOL. This time, I'd be playing mahjong because it has already been planned. There'll be a high-tea session at Yen's place on Sunday and this is probably the last time we'll meet up before John and her leave for their Korea exchange. How lucky and nice! John said he'll be baking a cake for us ... and he's making potato salad too I think. At least I hope he is; cause I think he makes nice potato salad. Hehe...
And see; I have the urge to gorge now!
