the lovely and the not so lovely
Well...Saturday has passed. There were things which made the Saturday a lovely one and things which did not make the Saturday a lovely one. It was lovely because I got to spend time with Mr Wu. Time flies when you're having fun and it's really true. I sort of felt that the time spent with Mr Wu passed so quickly. I couldn't meet him in the afternoon as he had to help his parents to do some delivery. And for me, I had to meet up with my sister's wedding "jie-meis". For us, we discussed the types of door games over tea at Sun with Moon... it was quite fun. It's my first time being the bridesmaid and I really hope that I wouldn't screw up anything on the day itself. The rest of the "jie-meis" are my sister's close friends. A few of them are tai tais and you could tell that they really do nothing except play mahjong and shop! I bet it's almost every girl's dream to be a tai tai... Somehow I wonder if they are self-sufficient. I mean, I would want to be a self-sufficient tai tai; not just some dumb and stupid tai tais. LOL.
The door games we came up with ermm... are a little evil I guess. These door games are pretty common and repetitive. In case you may wonder, some examples are:1) Singing2) Pole-dancing (or other types of silly dances)3) Playing games (boys kiss boys?!) which involve close physical contact amongst the groom's brothers (this is quite evil, cause guys are so anal about this!)4) A taste of 酸甜苦辣Hehe, that's all I'm gonna say in case some guys try to prepare for their turns and this will definitely spoil the games. It's another two more weeks to my sister's big day! I have no idea why I don't feel that it is near soon. I mean, I don't feel the excitement at all. Hmm.. it may sound bad. Maybe because I haven't been involved much in the preparation. To be frank, I haven't got much to prepare on my end. So far, I've yet to receive any instructions from my sister with regards to the position of a bridesmaid. I know that my sister and mother are busy with the wedding preparations... my mother was busy scouting for the traditions to follow especially on the 过大礼 day; which is later? The preparations are as follows from the bride to the groom:

Looks like a lot of stuff to prepare just for a day. What a hassle to get married uh?
Guess I'm almost done with the lovely part of the weekend. So what is the not so lovely part?
Because of the preparations for the big day, I feel that I have no control over my own time. It happens not just once. Many times. Obviously, I really feel unhappy about it. Either my mother or sister will tell me that they need my help last minute to do something for the big day. Well, it's not that I am not willing to help but I just feel that they think that my time belongs to them only. I've shelved my plans a few occasions because of their last-minute stunts. I'm getting tired of it and am annoyed by this.
I hope they'd respect me with regards to this issue soon.
