a lost ball in the high weeds

It was an extremely awful day at work. I almost had no chance to visit the ladies sometime today? There were some hiccups at work and unfortunately, I was the direct cause of it. Perhaps it was not entirely my fault. To some extent, I had to take part of the blame. Some trades were fixed wrongly and I missed it. These trades settled at the wrong rate. Though these trades were internally dealt, I still felt pretty bad. I was told that internal trades would not likely result in dire consequences.
My mistake bugged me for the whole morning and it continued on even after lunch. Usually, I will tend to feel better after lunch if I encounter bad mornings. It was different this time. Till now, I still feel DOWN! Sometimes, I feel so lost and helpless at work because I'm still unsure of the systems and many procedures. What stressed me more was the fact that my manager introduced me to a new role two days ago before I am comfortable with my current job scope.

Grr. I feel so much like screaming at someone. I am trying not to think of it as much as possible. I do hope that it'll be a new start tomorrow. What I really hope for is to have someone to guide me patiently and not run through things quickly and expect me to pick up at that instance. I feel as though I am left on my own. Perhaps this is the team culture I have to get used to? More time is needed I guess. Well, the only thing I am looking forward to is the long weekend. It'll be Thursday tomorrow! I can't wait!
We will be another day closer to weekend!

I do have some plans for the weekend already. It'll be DH's last day on Friday. The NDF confirmations team have planned to go for a dinner and chill-out on Saturday night. As for Sunday afternoon, I'll be playing mahjong with my family members. And... this time for Monday, we're not going to have Monday blues because it's a holiday! I must make good use of the holiday for I think the next will be in December.

While I am typing this here, Mr Wu is busy mugging away for his marketing quiz tomorrow.

Hehe, I took a picture of his book shelf at his home last week:

Hehe, I picked some pictures and have it developed two weeks ago. Why am I doing this? The rationale is ... to make him think twice or more before he tries to do anything to upset me. LOL.
