counting to batam
I'm so counting down the days to Batam... where I can relax and enjoy myself with Mr Wu. I'm pretty excited because this will be our first trip ever. Though it is gonna be a short one, I am certain it'd turn out to a fun-filled and enjoyable trip. What matters most is his company. Well, what makes me look really forward to the trip also is that, the work is starting to stress me a little. I'm finally getting training on Trade Support roles. After months of doing the reconciliation, my work pace has been slowed down. Reconciliation role is performed at your own pace, more of OTOT (own time own target) kind of style. With tradesupport, you're stressed to work quickly. Most importantly, keep track of emails from traders and sales persons. You never know which email will make a huge P/L impact and trigger repercussions if these emails are not attended to on time.
And... remember straddles, strangles and butterfly? I DON'T.
I seriously do not remember them anymore. I will do a read-up on them as soon as I can. Besides that, some other options such as digital options, barrier options and etc... I can't make any logic out of these option names!
It is confusing yet interesting to be able to see how traders booked these options deals to have the above mentioned effects.
A big .... WOW to these terms now. In a few months' time, I aim to know them at my fingertips! I am pleased to be learning new stuff after much complaint of doing the same old stuff for months.
Right now, it just doesn't seem that I have the energy to absorb well as much as I would like to. I need to get away from here soon. I need the time and space to clear my thoughts... and be able to see light in the things I want to do and achieve. Sounds like some serious problem I have here... no, it isn't. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic again. How can I stay positive at work? When I see my fellow colleagues (those who've worked there for 2 yrs or longer) performing so well at work, I feel pressurized to do well. I've grown up, this isn't some contract or temporary part-time job we're talking about here.
It concerns my career and future.
This explains why I hate growing up.
And you know you've grown up:
When you have more worries...When your laughters turn into smiles instead....When you find it hard to find a true friend....When people find it hard to cheer you up....When you realise what is pride and dignity... When you realise what true happiness is....
And more.
