our wonderful batam trip

I am back from Batam! It was an enjoyable but a tiring (a little) trip generally. The weekend trip brightened me up even though Batam itself (as what many have said) that it is a boring place. It isn't about the place, really. It's simply about the company! Hehe and of course... Mr Wu was Carrousel's great companion for the trip. It was a free and easy trip and we stayed at Holiday Inn Hotel. Hmm, I would say that the hotel interiors are pleasant and it has a really nice swimming pool. In fact, the hotel looks more like a resort to me:

From the reviews which Mr Wu and myself have read, the Tea Tree Spa is highly recommended at Batam. Seriously, the Tea Tree Spa really looked good from its exteriors. (see picture below) Unfortunately, the spa package was pretty pricey and we decided against the idea of going for the spa.

Some pictures I took near the Tea Tree Spa:

What we did at Batam was purely relaxation and shopping at Nagoya shopping mall. LOL, we bought quite a bit of snacks as grocery shopping was relatively cheap compared to Singapore's. Hehe.. actually, another reason which drew us to Nagoya was A&W! As we know, A&W isn't available in Singapore anymore and of course this was a good chance for us to have a taste of A&W again. LOL! The trip turned me into a real glutton... I sort of over-ate? In fact, I'm a little sick of eating now ... and I even skipped dinner tonight though I was a bit hungry. I just didn't feel like eating.

After getting home from the Batam trip, I wanted so much to go away on another trip again. I really look forward to going somewhere else again soon. Mr Wu and I had the intention to go Bali on our next trip. I realised that travelling will possibly be another strong motivating factor for me to work hard at work. Before I get to play hard, I have to work hard first. Oh well, hopefully Mr Wu is able to land a job soon and only then we can make travel plans together.

My next trip will most likely be in July; it'll be a family trip to Hongkong. I can't wait for that as well. Till then, I've got to start saving up for shopping in Hongkong! LOL. It could be a little hard cause I am expecting two wedding banquets before July. *She lets out a long sigh* It's some heavy cash outflows there! Boo!

I'll be on leave till Tuesday... meanwhile, I'm sitting down here thinking how I should fully utilise the two days. LOL.. Perhaps I may feel bored not working. No concrete plans as of now.

I'll take the chance to rest my mind and not think of work as much as possible. I need to shop badly as well.. and that will come tomorrow when I go out with my shopaholic mother. We'll be enjoying... facial, good food and shopping!

LOL, we really know how to pamper ourselves.
