a foul weekend

I didn't really enjoy the weekend as much as I usually enjoyed previous ones. Hmmm, part of it had to do with an issue I had with Mr Wu yesterday. I was just disappointed with some expectations he failed to meet as a boyfriend. I guess we are fine now. Things have cleared up and I certainly hope that he knows what to do when he upsets me the next time. LOL. I was just looking at the pictures my colleague took with her boyfriend when both of them went on a road trip in US. They seemed as though they really enjoyed the road trip. I really felt like planning a trip with Mr Wu for the second time. This time, I'd want to go somewhere further and for a longer time.

Another factor which attributed to my foul weekend was the bad mahjong luck I had recently too. I haven't won in mahjong for a long time, LOL! Despite the cruel reality, my zeal for mahjong is nonetheless affected. Hehe.. sounds like I am dying to lose money to people! Anyway, it was Mr Wu's grandmother's birthday dinner yesterday. I wouldn't say that I really enjoyed the dinner though. I felt pretty out of the place... and I didn't think I had much to talk to anyone there. It was hard for me to talk to anyone I suppose. Though attending his family functions isn't really something I look forward to each time, I'd feel bad for not turning up. A lot of times, Mr Wu would tell me that his grandparents would ask about me whenever I did not turn up for the family functions.

Other than Mr Wu, I attend the family functions because of them. Besides having nothing much to talk to his parents, I have another problem to think about whenever I attend these family funcitons. I often need to think hard about my outfit. I 'd have to think hard whether the outfit will pass the test his parents have in their traditional mindsets. If a shopaholic has to buy something she doesn't like too much, where is the thrill and pleasure in shopping?

The shopaholic has to feel happy when she shops. She doesn't want somebody else to have a control over her dress sense.

Anyway, there isn't any thrill in shopping for me lately. All mirrors tell me that I am going out of shape and look no good in whatever I try on. Could it be low my self-esteem again?
