my fantastic weekend

This weekend kicked in early for me on Friday afternoon as I took half day leave. I was glad that the time I spent over the long weekend was fruitful and enjoyable. I met up with Daryl and co for lunch.. it's been sometime since the last time I met them up. In fact, that was the last time I would see Daryl. He told us that he will be leaving Perth for good. He should have already left Singapore by now.

I must say that he did take care of me when I was in NDF confirmations. He was probably one of the few people whom I could talk to over there. Oh well, I hope that he'll be able to find something good for him over there and start afresh. After the lunch I had with them, I did my monthly facial at Lucky Plaza and shopped a bit before I headed home. I should be excited to see sale signs at my favourite shops... but I wasn't really so on Friday. I know that I am on tight budget this month because of more high loan repayments, a colleague's wedding and an air ticket to HKG in July. All in all, I had already spent more than half of the salary this month.

I'm sure that this month's expenses will eat into the amount I set aside for saving this month. In bad times like this, I really wish to save more for the rainy days. This is especially so after a series of dreams that I had about losing my Prada purse. I was pretty disturbed by the dream and I was prompted to look up the meaning behind the dream of losing your purse.

Here's what I've got:

To dream that you lost your wallet, suggests that you need to be more cautious and careful about your spending and finances. You need to be more responsible with your money. Alternatively, it indicates that you are losing touch with your true identity.

I met up with the girls on Friday and heard that one of them actually got a pay cut. I should really be gladful that my company isn't that badly hit by the financial crisis. On a lighter note, Friday night was one of the best nights I ever had with the girls. We spent time catching up with one another.. and it was really good to be seeing people whom you've never seen for ages. I'm thankful to have them to drive away my moodiness I've had over the past week.

Well, I have got to agree that they do cheer me up better than Mr Wu does sometimes. I love you girls!

Of course... not forgetting Mr Wu, my greatest love! Both of us visited Jurong Bird Park on Saturday noon. I wouldn't say that Jurong Bird Park was fantastic compared to Night Safari. I prefer Night Safari to Jurong Bird Park though...hehe, I just prefer animals to birds generally. Nevertheless, it was the company which mattered to me the most. I know that Mr Wu has been trying his best to cheer me up the past week. Please keep it up, HAHA!

Thanks for the mug you gave to me, Mr Wu. It was a really pleasant surprise. I love it.

I will upload pictures of the mug soon.

It's magical! :)

Weekends are so precious.
