fighting against stress and fear

What do you do when you face enormous stress and fear at work?

Well, what I do is keeping quiet throughout work. I've been trying hard to conceal my fear. I just received a piece of advice that I should try to leave the team if I have any chance to do so. With a superior I have currently, she is definitely going to be an obstacle to my career path. I still cannot believe that she can be so cold and cruel.

This is the harsh reality that all have to face. I count my blessings that it does not hit me directly. I would like to add the word 'yet' to the end of the previous sentence. I guess one more year of endurance at least. I still find it very hard to accept the reality. If only Mr Wu is here with me.

I heard that there'll be solar eclipse tomorrow. That will be on my birthday! I just sounded pretty excited, didn't I? Actually, there wasn't any physical sense of excitement going through me when I typed that. It'll be another normal day for me. A day of stress and fear awaits me tomorrow even though it is gonna be my birthday.

Swaptions and Spore Options celebrated my birthday for me today. I was completely surprised. I didn't expect that the team would remember a thing about my birthday. It is a practice to celebrate each and every team member's birthday together with Swaptions (another team which Spore Options have been mixing with often). To be honest, I'd be a little disappointed if they did not do anything about my birthday. I am relieved because the celebration assured me that I am part of the team they recognise.

It's only been two days since Mr Wu left me for his ICT. Hmmm.. a little empty me feel lonely and aimless sometimes. I realised I've been working later than usual for the two days when Mr Wu was not around. I probably have the mentality that I have got nothing to do after work, so might as well work a bit more? This is a wrong mentality I need to get rid of. Which is why, I've got activities planned for Friday and Saturday nights already! That makes me look forward to the weekend again.

"Somewhere Only We Know" is on my playlist now. I've been wanting to find this song by Keane since dinosaur years ago. I didn't get to know the title of the song until I watched "He's just not that into you" with Mr Wu. The song was played during the movie and Mr Wu managed to find it for me. Both of us fell in love with the song! It will just add on to the list of songs which belong to me and Mr Wu.
