just about anything and anyone
I realised that I 've not blogg-ed for sometime. That is simply because the blogspot interface was not working well. I couldn't seem to post anything for the past week. But a bigger part of the reason was that I was just plain lazy. LOL! Oh well, I'm back now with more updates and news about myself and the people in my life. I spent a boring Sunday by myself. It got a bit more interesting when my sister and brother-in-law came by. They just returned from Sydney and they shared with us about their trip. To be honest, I really envy them. Where can I go travelling with Mr Wu to anywhere without having to worry about the cost? So far (for this year), she has travelled to a few countries already. And these countries are not cheap to pop by... Italy, Paris, HongKong and Sydney. London and Germany coming up next.
We had our dinner at Lao Beijing, Tiong Bahru Plaza. The food was not bad but definitely not worth the value. I am referring to the food portions here. LOL. I dined at Lao Beijing twice this week, once on Wednesday with Mr Wu and the other was today. Hmmm, two different experiences I must say. I was happy to dine with my family today... and it was some good quality time we spent together. On the other hand, I felt stressed on Wednesday... my mind is recalling what happened on Wednesday uncontrollably. It was Mr Wu's birthday. I had the intention to knock off early so I could meet Mr Wu for dinner at some nice place. Unexpectedly, a new option product was booked in the system. I helped to check the trade with whatever knowledge I have. Apparently, I need to brush up more. I was racing against time when I checked the trade. In the end, I made some mistakes which another team mate had to help with me it. It probably just delayed everyone further. I felt really stupid... I couldn't feel any more stupid at instance.
I must have worn a very stressful look on my face. My team mate kept on asking me if I was alright. She told me that I 'd need to read up more on the new product in order to understand it before I could check the trade on my own. Though she put these words across nicely and even offered help (if I need), it doesn't make me feel any less stupid and bad. The team knew that I had to leave early because I told them that it was Mr Wu's birthday. I didn't want him to wait for too long on his birthday... though the check was not completed yet, the team told me to leave anyway. I felt bad to leave but I left for two reasons still. I left because I did not want Mr Wu to wait too long on his birthday. In fact, he had already waited for me for more than two hours. The next reason was that, I felt so terrible and sad because I felt so stupid ... I just couldn't stay further. I knew that I had to leave to get some fresh air to calm myself down.
I was pretty affected by the matter for the next two days. I appeared rather gloomy at work... and my team mates kept on asking if I was alright because they didn't think I was behaving my usual self. I lied that I was alright and I was very tired... things like " I did not sleep well last night... " and blah blah blah (whatever you can think of)
I appreciate that they cared at least. Things at work have not been too smooth even though the devil isn't around. The team is generally happier without her. Wish that she'll go on permanent leave. LOL... unfortunately, dark clouds are expected on this coming Thursday.
I don't want to talk about work anymore because I am going back to work tomorrow! The Monday blues is coming in slowly.
Arggh... and of course I'm not the only person who hates to go work. I met up with Yen and the rest on Friday night. They were lamenting over work as well. And... welcome to the club, Angus! He just got himself a job as well. I am happy for him... but depressed for him at the same time. LOL. He'll soon join the evil corporate world. :( Ah well, like I told him , we all need to grow up and learn to handle things. Please grow up , Angus! Hehe.... and of course, good luck!
I was happy to meet up with Yen and co. It has been a really long time since the last gathering. LOL, Yen, please try harder together with Mr Wu to surprise me. I sensed that there was something amiss when she tried to arrange a meet-up with herself and Candy only. It was just women's intuition! Hehe... I really appreciated your efforts nonetheless, Yen! I was surprised that they celebrated my birthday and Mr Wu's as well. Thanks for the all the planning and present, Yen.
Enough for now, I have to hit the bed soon. Another time then.
