goodbye to my long weekend
When will I have another long weekend again?
Probably sometime in October. In another two weeks' time I guess.
I really love long weekends! Well, anyone would love it!
Anyway the long weekend was a very eventful one too.
Tina's wedding was a blast at St.Regis. Needless to say , it burnt a hole in my pocket. That was my 4th time attending a wedding dinner this year. Haha! Carlin's wedding happened this week as well, which was on Friday. Finally, the girls got to meet her hubby. I hope that both Tina and Carlin had found their true happiness.
As for me, I am still wondering when it'd be my turn. The long weekend somewhat made me treasure my time more. Boyfriend and I planned a full list of programmes for the long weekend but the bulk of it involved mahjong. Right after Tina's wedding, I rushed over to boyfriend's place to have a change of clothes and played a night of mahjong session. It ended around 3AM on Sunday morning. We then headed for some food at Mac and only left Mac at 430 AM. We took a picture of our tired yet happy faces:
And yeah, when we woke up, it was mahjong again?! But it was with his colleagues. The exciting part was dinner with his family... out of filial piety, he decided to treat his family to a nice dinner at Chinatown Point. The dinner was slightly different because it involved his grandparents too. It was the first time I had dinner with his grandparents yesterday. Perhaps I should be more vocal during the dinner. I know boyfriend must still be feeling the pain from expensive dinner treat.
Let's be more thrifty this month, baby!
I hope I'd help by cutting down on my shopping sprees for this month. I seriously dread going back to work tomorrow. There'd be this quarterly town hall meeting which only starts at 730PM. Terrible!
To keep me going at work, I have something to look forward to! At least I can have dinner with boyfriend after the meeting finishes at 830PM.
Can't imagine spending 12.5 hours at work tomorrow. Grrr...
We managed to find a nice and cheap accommodation for our Phuket trip! *phew* guess we were quite lucky.. though it's not a 5-star hotel, both of us are pretty happy with what we saw on the hotel website and of course, the price too.

It's 106SGD per night including breakfast! In total, our flight + hotel accommodation cost only 300 SGD per pax. I gathered from people who had been to Phuket highly recommended PhiPhi Island as one of the places to go. I did hear about PhiPhi Island before... and I wow-ed at the pictures of PhiPhi online! The place looks awesome. Hopefully we'll be able to find a good tour package for PhiPhi when we reach Phuket.
Hehe.. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!! And so is he.
