on sick leave

Today was a really painful day for me. Things were normal until I started experiencing acute menses cramps at my work desk. The pain was persistent and I decided that I couldn't stay any longer at work. I rushed down to the nearest clinic and registered to see the doctor. I waited for 30 minutes before I could see the doctor. Frankly, I've never had such bad cramps before. It was so bad that I couldn't think properly.

I told the doctor and he told me to monitor my condition. If the pain still persists on, he suspects that it could be fibroids. It may not be so serious, I reckon. I hope that the pain will go away soon. I was glad that boyfriend came to look for me at the clinic for a while before he went to work. I felt like I was going to die from the pain; lol. (yes, it was really very painful!) It did make me feel better that he was with me. In any case, I am on sick leave tomorrow as well.

Hopefully I'll be well and about to go back to work on Wed. It's not that I'm dying to go back to work, but I still quite a bit of pending stuff at work and deadline is Friday. I hope I do get to finish it before Friday. I told my manager that I won't be going into office tomorrow. She was on leave today so I thought I should send her a text message to inform her. I wasn't expecting any words of concern from her. Anyway, her reply was " Sorry, who is this? My phone did not register your no." I was like , "Uh?! What the......"

In any case, I just told her I won't be going into the office. She asked me to rest well. LOL. I was a bit surprised. The last time I took MC, she just gave a very cold reply without any words of concern. The team BBQ will be on this coming Saturday; seriously don't feel like going. We'll just go there and show a quick face. Boo! Team gatherings are often organised for the sake of doing so and not for the right intention. At least, I don't feel that she is doing so for the right intention. It's probably because end-year appraisal is coming soon?
LOL.

My cramps are returning again. It's almost time for me to rest. Another time then.
