a bad start to the week

Lousy Monday was a bad start to the week. Being involved in yesterday's KPI call conference was terrible. I sounded unsure of my knowledge during the call. Well, I attended the call conference without knowing that a new template has been implemented. I was dumbfounded as the head threw questions at me. I tried my best to answer him but I didn't think he was neither impressed nor happy with my answers. I'd think that he'll only satisfactory answers from someone who has experience. It can't be me YET.

I'd safely say that the person who covered me had no idea of the new template as well. In that case, how am I supposed to know anything about it? Many have told me that it isn't exactly my fault. I'm sure those who know me well will understand that I couldn't help but to feel extremely upset over it. After the call conference, I kept on telling myself that I might not be the right person for this role. I contemplated quitting my job soon.

There'll always be many BUTs.

All these BUTS will stop me eventually. I've decided that I won't leave until I've fully stretched my learning curve. I'd want to take some value away with me when I leave.

I thought that the new joiner was being competitive too. Maybe that is a good thing for me. It'll just make me work harder and not slack at work. I admit that I am dying to surpass him in my TS knowledge.

I need to make up for the loss of opportunities to learn more during my 2-week absence from work badly.

I am glad that I am taking things more positive today as compared to yesterday. I felt totally like shit yesterday and I hated the lousy feeling. I even skipped dinner yesterday and breakfast today.

I woke up and felt unwell this morning. I thought of giving work a miss today but I think I shouldn't do so since I've been away from office for such a long time. Oh well, flu is getting worse unfortunately.

I need to get well for this week's activities. I don't want to miss any one of them.
