The weekend was good except for a few occasions of moody-ness. Is it because the time of the month is near? It must be. I wish people around me will stop doing things to annoy/irritate me. To begin with, it isn't anyone's fault but my own. It'll be back to work tomorrow. I think Monday will be better this time because there will not be any KRI call tomorrow as it is a holiday in London tomorrow. Strangely, I can hardly feel any pre-Monday blues this time.

I should be happy about work this week. At least it'll be a short work week for all and I can't wait to see the girls for countdown this Friday!

It'll be fun. I am happy that boyfriend managed to take leave from work and attend the countdown with me. It'll be probably be the first time most of the girls will be seeing him.

I can't believe it, I have not finished my Xmas shopping. Don't get it wrong, I am not shopping for myself. I am shopping for belated Xmas gifts. Oops! I've been doing a lot of shopping over the weekend. Erm yeah, I was supposed to shop for my friends but ended up shopping for myself instead. LOL!

I am so spoilt. I spent around 200SGD in a day! Hmm, I know that it may not sound like an astronomical amount to some CRAZY shopaholics out there but I still felt so bad spending 200SGD away just like that.

Blah.. I'm turning into one of the crazy shopaholics soon. I haven't been able to save much the last month. I should make up by spending less and saving more this month. I can't see how I am getting there though I just drew my salary last week.

Uhmm, I was a bit disappointed with boyfriend's Xmas gift last week. It was something useful but not really something I'd like. I thought that the Xmas gift will be a good gauge of how well he understands me. Things like cosmetics, skincare products, shopping vouchers, accessories, apparels will match up to what I expected for a Xmas gift from him. I'm not sure if I should revise my expectations for presents from him now.

Oh well..with regards to that, I thought over it actually. The greater my expectations become, the greater disappointment I face. I learnt not to expect too much in the beginning. As time passed by, my expectations of him grew because I thought he'd understand what I want. Hmmm... I don't know if I've gotten him anything he doesn't like. Maybe I have but he kept it to himself to prevent me from being unhappy. Honestly, I'd want him to be frank with me just like how frank I was when I told him I didn't really fancy the Xmas gift.

I don't want him to waste money on something I know I'd chuck aside for the next year or forever.

Saturday dim sum lunch with my family was fantastic except when the topic of applying for flats was brought up. Even my mother and sister could tell that boyfriend was not very keen to apply for BTO project at Queenstown. Anyone could tell from the reply he gave when my sister and mother talked about it. He did not express any interest. I asked him if he was keen. He told me that his mother made a fuss over it and commented that the place was too far from them. I guess his mind was probably swayed by his mother.

My sister and mother asked me why he wasn't keen on applying for it when we were in the car to Orchard after lunch. I knew it was probably because of his mother. I just told them I was not sure and looked away in another direction... I knew that if I had said it straight in their face, my eyes would turn red.

No idea why, it seemed as though I am forcing him to apply for it with me. If I had told him so, he'd deny this. But this is just the way he made me feel.

I don't understand why his mother had to intervene in this. I thought my parents would. I wish his parents could just be like mine and wish us well from the bottom of their hearts. Because of this, boyfriend is caught between me and his mother. He told me that. I'm like "What the f. Is your mother going to give u money for the down payment if you get a resale flat? " Does she have the ability to? I don't know what she's thinking. Or rather, I don't know what both of them are thinking.

The fact that he was a bit swayed by his mother disappointed me. Where the hell has his logic gone to? I hate it when he's not thinking logically.

If we miss out this chance, we might never be able to apply for HDB the next year taking into consideration the pay increment starts in January 2010. Getting a resale flat will need a huge sum of downpayment. If we ever miss out because of his mother's influence, I'll not fork out a single cent for resale flats. I do mean it.

Maybe his mother will hate me for this. We applied for it in the end. I don't care... and I won't care about what his mother is going think about it anymore.
