2010 will be better
I am keeping my fingers crossed for a better year in 2010. Needless to say, work had made me unhappy countless times in 2009. I yearn for a good start tomorrow.
I should maintain a positive attitude about work tomorrow. Unfortunately, pre-Monday blues never fail to bring me down on Sunday nights.
Boyfriend just left for home from my place. The evening was relaxing when I got home. A simple dinner was prepared by my mother and I always love dining with my family on weekends. Hmmm... I just realised that I need to reconnect with a few important friends in my life again. I will be asking them out for dinners soon. Guess I do have quite a bit to talk to them about.
I spent 300 a few hours ago. Zara skirt, household allowance and a birthday gift for sister. Oh god, and it'll be brother's birthday this Saturday. What's up after birthday? Carlin's wedding! What an expensive January it is.
I dare not think of saving any money this month. This really sucks. I can't wait for 23rd to come; my new salary and a one-off payment related to pay adjustment. I was thinking of getting something good for myself with the one-off payment; probably a nice bag or holiday!
Most likely, I will scrap the thought and save up the money first. Do I really need a bag? Financially, I should say no. Personally, I'd say a big YES! I'm really not helping myself. LOL. I will think more about it. I have to think of the future too, that's what boyfriend is thinking of recently.
But I really love bags, shoes and clothes!
It's a girl thing. The boys can never understand our passion for shopping just like we can't understand how boys could game for hours.
I'm feeling poor like ever but still want to shop badly.
On a serious note, boyfriend and I made some resolutions on the 1st January 2010. It was right after the countdown party I had with the girls. We were staying up at my place and started a talk about our relationship, future and ourselves. With regards to relationship, I believe there are some things which we've sorted out and I am happy with that. We thought about our future and he was thinking of setting up a business when the time is right. Very likely, it'd be related to the florist business. We probably have to save up a bit more and think about how to pick up the skills required for the business.
Honestly, I did think of setting up a business even before we discussed on this. Strangely, I wanted to go into the florist business too even though I'm not a big fan of flowers. But I am interested to pick up floral arrangement skills given a chance to do so.
I hope boyfriend and I will be able to set up a business on our own in a few years' time. We both agree that we can't get rich being somebody's employee. We need to be our own bosses.
We'll wait for the right time. I have faith in us.
