a lazy sunday
I spent a lazy Sunday with boyfriend and family today. I've been wanting to get a new pillow but guilty as charged, a lot of procrastination on it too. I finally decided to make a trip down to Ikea with boyfriend in the hope of finding my dream pillow. I am extremely fastidious about buying pillows. I would need to sleep on a high and hard supporting pillow otherwise I'll wake up with bad headaches and neck aches.
I was glad that boyfriend came along. He adores the hotdog buns there! LOL. I'm very sure boyfriend enjoyed the Ikea excursion. He even told me that he preferred shopping at Ikea to any other shop in town. I was dumbfounded. I would never ever want to step into Ikea unless there is a need. As for shopping, it's different. I just wouldn't mind shopping on any other days! See the difference? He likes looking at furnishings and I like clothes, bags and shoes! Speaking of shopping, I should really stop for this month.
I've been spending quite a bit this month. I was out shopping (again) with boyfriend yesterday and I was very tempted to buy something. Surprisingly, my discipline got the better of me. I did not buy anything yesterday. I am proud of myself as I mention this now.
Actually, I'm really tempted to shop still... and I love the below.
I've been thinking hard on objectives for the new year. My manager wanted us to submit our objectives by end of Monday. Boo. I hate to do objectives setting and self appraisal.
Then again, we have no choice. I keep wondering what would become of me if I were to switch to a job with lower pay. I won't be able to make substantial savings and I wouldn't be able to shop comfortably anymore. The more I think of it, the more it is driving me nuts. I always tell boyfriend that we're too comfortable with our current salary and that it is making us very reluctant to switch jobs.
I hope something better will come along and I will move on with it. Boyfriend will be shifting to APAC hours on 1st March and he has signed up for CFA. Hopefully the change will leave boyfriend with more time to study for the exam in early June. Can't wait to spend more time with boyfriend...
