the unfit me
Body aches all over from long hours of standing at flea market yesterday. My hand was aching so badly and I couldn't sleep well because of it. I have to pace myself slowly when I walk now... because my legs muscles are aching too! I am really unfit, I reckon. I am thinking of going jogging tomorrow but I should probably think twice now.
Actually, my heart ached the most when most designer pieces went for 0.50 SGD to 1.00 SGD. I had a few branded apparels which I've not even worn before... and I couldn't believe I sold them at such cheap prices. What really got to me was, those buyers (mostly Filipino maids!) asked if it was authentic. Now... I really know how these Filipino maids could afford designer clothes. Arggh. If I could still fit into those clothes, I wouldn't want to sell them at all! Some of it have shrunk so badly.
Some buyers were just too greedy for their own good and I could tell that they bought on impulse. They couldn't seem to process logic when they saw how cheap the designer clothes were especially the Filipino maids. A big size (at least M size) buyer was holding my XS size Calvin Klein halter neck top near to her body and she was convinced that she could fit in it! She bought it in the end. I was so shocked. I did not know whether I should advise her against her purchase. In the end, I did not. HAHA. Oops... I'm such a meanie. I must have been too desperate to clear those clothes.
I brought 8 big bags of clothes (owners are: my mom, sister, boyfriend and myself) for sale at the flea market. As good as it got, I cleared 7 big bags of it!
Despite the dirt cheap selling prices, profits made from the flea market was 250SGD net. I'd think that it's quite an impressive result to have for my first-time. I really had fun with the girls. It was an eye-opener for me too. Besides drawing negative conclusion on my physical fitness, I also concluded that I am a really bad negotiator. Eileen and PJ are so much better so I think they made much more money too. Hehe...
Never mind, I 'll learn to be more assertive after my Assertiveness - Achieving Win-Win course in May and I'll do better next time. LOL.
The evening was well-spent with boyfriend. We had dinner cum desserts at Serangoon Gardens. I adore Pow Sing chicken rice and yummy desserts at Dessert Bowl. It's a must-go dessert place for durian-lovers. Boyfriend had durian mousse and he loved it.. we also ordered some durian mousse takeaways for our family. My parents and brother loved and enjoyed it. I had Ai Yu Mango...and I was happy with it as well. If you're going there, Ai-Yu Mango and Durian Mousse are the must-try desserts!
I am on leave tomorrow and now I'm still deciding where I should go for shopping. At least... I do have some items on mind I really need to look at tomorrow. I am happy that I am going with an agenda? Maybe that'd help to prevent excessive shopping?
Deep down inside, I know it wouldn't help?! I am just trying my luck.
