we finally got it going

4D3N trip to Macau is confirmed, I am glad that we finally got it going!

Even though tickets were not booked at their lowest rates, I am still happy that we're going to Macau afterall.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Tiger will take me to Macau in May! After a thousand and one bad story I heard of Tiger Airways, I am still hoping that it'd not fail me this time!

Work is sucky as usual. I had a few discussions with manager recently... an unpleasant one happened yesterday. It started off well until there was some miscommunication. She started talking to me in loud tone. I could sense annoyance and impatience in her voice. I was petrified... even so, I was insistent on my point.

I tried to mask the fact that I was intimidated by her. I could feel that my heart was in my mouth during the discussion. It was a really unhealthy experience and one which I would never ever want to have again. I felt unwell yesterday... I am sure that I owe at least 80% of it to her. She is creating an incredibly unhealthy working environment. I'd be sure this gets reflected in the next upward appraisal.

I met up with my Uni peers over the weekend for MJ's birthday lunch. I guess I am really in a better position compared to some of them ... better pay, better benefits and greater BONUS. I really shouldn't complain. Well, if this has been followed up closely, I am against people, not the company.

There is a little reluctance in me to socialize with people recently. In fact, there're a few social events which I didn't feel like attending... but I know I have to make an effort. The effort is not for myself but for others most of the time. I'm sad to admit that I've been getting the feeling of "I'm all alone in this world" very much lately. I spoke to boyfriend on this just now.

He said he must have failed his job as a boyfriend badly then. Actually, I didn't think he has a part to play in this. I guess, it's related to work and recent spate of unhappy events at home. I am thinking of switching teams. It seems like a good time for internal mobility now. PCG, Finance and Sales positions are all up for grabs. Sticking to BO is sufficient for me now. I've got no great ambitions to move to FO at the moment.

I know that I am not 'there' yet and I don't want to be at the bottom.

I want to try PCG/Finance positions. A good-to-have experience on my resume I am sure.

An ex-team mate asked me to start looking for internal opportunities if I've learnt enough in my current team. I am reluctant to leave because I know that I am not done with this team yet. There are a lot more to learn...

I cannot lose out. I need to start making my list.

Same goes for boyfriend. I know that it is tough on him to work with a psychotic team lead! I hope he'd hang on... and when the time is right, we can move on to somewhere together.

Maybe early next year is a good time. Though the year ahead is tough, I'm sure it'd be a more spectacular one.. at least one with more substance than 2009 because I feel that I am 'growing' very quickly!

Very random this is, I hope I can resume my normal appetite soon. I haven't been thinking enough of eating lately!

Can't wait for the weekend to come. I promised boyfriend to bring him to watch a movie :)

He's a big kid who gets excited about watching movies once in a while! I love this big kid.

On this space, I 'd like to thank those who have been around to talk to me for the past few days.

You make me understand what defines a friend now.
