I miss the silly actions he does, the silly words he says and the silly promises he makes. They never fail to make me smile.

This is my 4th day without him by my side. I feel empty. Absence really does make one's heart grow fonder.

Haha, this time I seemed to have thrown away my "Out of sight, out of mind" theory!

I had a heart thumping experience today! I plucked up my courage and told her that I'd like to take over Desmond's role who will be leaving the team in another 2 months' time.

After so much encouragement from my team mates and friends, I decided to voice out my thoughts. We had a quick chat in private.

I told her what I wanted and to my surprise, she told me that I was one of her considerations as a potential candidate to take over Desmond. All along, she had in mind that I had expressed my interest to become a full-time in TS. To become a full-time in TS is a real stepping stone for me. She did not promise me anything about the role. She'd update me again after she discusses with my big boss.

Now, maybe I shouldn't pin any high hopes. I mean, afterall, nothing is confirmed though she gave me a lot of positive cues that she'd move me over to TS once everything is being arranged with big boss. I hope things really work out for me.

At first, I was procrastinating about telling her what I wanted because I felt that chances were slim. I am the only subject matter expert for my role... and there are a lot of upcoming projects for the reconciliation. I wasn't sure if she'd be ready to 'let me go'. I just had to take a gamble with the chance. The chance was presented right in front of my eyes! I couldn't just let it slip by.

My team mate told me that she has started looking around for people to fill in the position. I knew that I had to talk to her before she conducts any interviews.

Whether I make it or not, I was really glad and relieved that I made my intentions known.

I am proud of myself that I fought hard this time.

If I ever become a full-time in TS, I'd be really busy. The day will start as early as 8AM for me and could end as late as 9-10PM on bad days. Skipping lunches/dinners for work could mean nothing when the time comes. I'd be hard on myself too.... because I can't afford to under-perform in the team! If I do really well.. I'm sure I can make better advances in my career after I leave the team.

I am praying hard.

I can't wait to see boyfriend this Sunday when he books out! Poor thing. He must be having a really hard time inside there.

The best thing about working in the same office as boyfriend is that we get to share many common topics together! I can bitch to him about my colleagues and manager freely and he can do the same too! He knows who I am talking about and can easily put a face to names I mention...cool, isn't it? It beats talking to someone whom doesn't have any idea what and who you're talking about.

I met up for lunch with Lilian, Shereen and Pj today. It was a good catch up session for us. As usual, I always enjoy doing lunches with them. I hope Shereen settles her mind and emotions soon!

I need to plan for leave soon. I realised that I have quite a number of leave days (28 days!) for the rest of the year!!! But it's hard to clear them by this year because the team calendar is so packed. There are people taking leave almost everyday!

Speaking of which, I can't wait for my next break on 26th April.

Should I take 27th off too?
