the incredible expectations
Ever felt tired of living up to expectations from everyone?
Today, I realized how tired one could be from doing so. Well, maybe not everyone. It could be just me.
I can't wait to get away from all these. Why would expectations even exist in a home? Shouldn't a home be a place where you can put away your mask and be yourself? I am filled with disappointment.
This doesn't feel like a home to me now.
I am extremely tired meeting expectations of people at work, home, boyfriend and his parents. I have a selfish thought now. Why can't they try to lower their expectations instead?
At work, my team mates expect me to know it all and do whatever I can to make sure that things do not go wrong at the end of the day. How much have they helped indeed? There was some help, but not much. I am dipping as deep as I could go into the knowledge well. Perhaps, I'd pack up and go by mid 2011. I hope!
Time flies at work everyday. I race against time everyday. Work is intense and challenging, I enjoy!
"I want to do better everyday." I tell myself this all the time.
I am stressed out but ... I prefer what I do now.
My baby niece will be coming to this world in Sept, I cannot wait! I am really excited!
My sister has decided to name her "Charlotte". I'm not sure if she'd change her mind but Charlotte does sound good to me! I never really had any chance to interact with children... and honestly, I don't fancy children that much.
We'll see how it goes. I hope Charlotte can change my views of children. LOL!
I will be flying off to Krabi in another 8 hours' time. Ooh! I am finally getting out of Spore. After a few weeks of slogging at work, my well-deserved break is here!
I will be back on Monday with more updates and photos of Krabi!
It's time to get some beauty sleep now!
